How to Ask About Your Child’s Day
Ask open-ended questions with purpose, such as:
- “What kind words did you hear today?”
- “What kind words did you say today?”
- “What useful word did you learn today? How do you think it will be useful to you?”
- “What useful skill did you practice today? How do you think you might use that skill?”
Your child will share real experiences and feel a meaningful and purposeful connection with you.
